Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company that was founded in 1987 by Michael L. Riordan, a physician and scientist. The company was initially focused on the development of novel therapies for viral infections, but has since expanded its scope to include treatments for other diseases such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, and liver disease.

The company was named after the ancient town of Gilead, which was located in the Bible’s Book of Genesis. The name was chosen to reflect the company’s mission to develop innovative therapies that would provide hope and healing to patients.

In the early 1990s, Gilead began to focus on the development of antiviral drugs. This was in response to the growing threat of HIV/AIDS, which was rapidly spreading throughout the world. The company’s first major success in this area was the development of a drug called Vistide, which was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1996 for the treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis in patients with AIDS.

In the following years, Gilead continued to develop and market new antiviral drugs, including Truvada, which was approved by the FDA in 2004 for the treatment of HIV infection. In 2006, the company received FDA approval for Atripla, a combination drug that combined Truvada with another antiviral medication called Sustiva.

In addition to its focus on antiviral drugs, Gilead has also developed and marketed drugs for the treatment of cancer and liver disease. In 2008, the company received FDA approval for Zydelig, a drug that is used to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and other blood cancers. In 2016, Gilead received FDA approval for a drug called Epclusa, which is used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.

In recent years, Gilead has faced a number of challenges. In 2017, the company was sued by the state of California for allegedly overcharging for its HIV/AIDS drugs. The lawsuit was ultimately settled in 2018, with Gilead agreeing to pay $97 million to the state.

In addition, Gilead has faced criticism for its pricing practices, with some critics arguing that the company’s drugs are too expensive for many patients to afford. of three percent what else we like about
this company let’s look at the
financials
in Q3 2021 they had a profit margin of
34.83 guys I can’t unders I can’t
overstate just how amazing that is that
is like World leading for a company’s
profit margins that that is about as
good as it gets you cannot find a more
cream of the crop a more Blue Chip a
more wonderful profit margin so what
else we got
Q4 2021 made a profit margin of 5.27
this again created this opportunity for
us to be scaling in right q1 2022 0.29
profit margin and then since then right
here it would have been right in this
range right here what happened in the
past two earnings we’ve seen it resume
its astronomical growth of 18.41 in Q2
2022 and in Q3 2022 it has a whopping

thing grow over time

us so confident that’s going to grow and
one more thing to look at
is we always look at the RSI consistent
set of indicators that we apply to

as you can see the RSI was oversold and
it’s currently rising this is a bullish
indicator the last time this happened
was August
2010 and this company proceeded to run
as much as 555 percent that is huge
before that
