(DIA, YM1!) SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF and Futures - Analysis, Market Index!
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), also known as the Dow Jones or simply the Dow, is a stock market index that measures the stock performance of 30 large publicly traded companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the NASDAQ. The DJIA was created by Charles Dow, co-founder of Dow Jones & Company, and was first published on May 26, 1896. It is one of the oldest and most widely followed indices in the world, and is often used as a barometer for the overall health of the stock market and the economy.

The Dow is a price-weighted index, which means that the value of the index is determined by the sum of the prices of the 30 stocks, divided by a divisor. The divisor is adjusted to account for stock splits, dividends, and other corporate actions, so that the index reflects the true value of the stocks. The Dow is typically reported in the media as a point value, rather than a percentage, and it is calculated and disseminated by Dow Jones Indexes, a division of S&P Global.
The 30 companies included in the Dow are selected by a committee of Dow Jones Indexes based on their market capitalization, liquidity, and industry representation. The companies represent a diverse range of sectors, including financial services, healthcare, technology, consumer goods, and industrial products. Some of the current components of the Dow include Apple, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald’s, and Microsoft.

The Dow is often used as a benchmark for the overall performance of the stock market, but it is important to note that it is not a comprehensive measure of the market. The index only includes 30 companies, which is a small fraction of the thousands of publicly traded companies in the United States. In addition, the Dow is a price-weighted index, which means that it is more heavily influenced by the stocks with higher prices, even if those stocks have a smaller market capitalization.
Despite its limitations, the Dow is widely followed and quoted by the media and financial analysts, and it is considered to be a key indicator of the health of the stock market and the economy. When the Dow is performing well, it is often seen as a sign of investor confidence and economic growth, while a declining Dow may signal market uncertainty or economic downturn.
In addition to the DJIA, Dow Jones Indexes also publishes a number of other stock market indices, including the Dow Jones Transportation Average, the Dow Jones Utility Average, and the Dow Jones Composite Average. These indices track the performance of different sectors of the stock market, and are often used as benchmarks for mutual funds and other investment vehicles.

Read Moreabsolutely beautiful
um
a lot of lines
that’s right
okay
this is your up trending price channel
for the dow this typically leans more
industrial
health care we were saying the qqq’s
more tech heavy this one’s slightly more
like
healthcare
maybe energy industrial utility type
leaning
all great honestly you should have all
of them
this one is maybe the least volatile of
the four
it tends to fluctuate a little
less so for example this one was only
down 17
that’s pretty good if you’re playing a
401k right and they only let you choose
between uh
dia
snp qqq or the company’s own stock
if you are scaling into qqq at the
bottom and dia at the top you’re doing
it right take advantage of those small
decreases and the big increases in qqq
so that being said it is the least
volatile we are expecting a gain of
roughly 42 right
the other ones were at about 80.
you know
but
this one’s also great it’s also very
good very high quality very major market
of an index
with it being less volatile it does have
a higher dividend yeah i mean
it’s a give and take relationship with
all these things this one has a
1.8 percent dividend which is i think
biggest of all four of them so it has
the biggest dividend but also
maybe the lowest of the projections and
there’s nothing wrong with that some
people prefer that
more safe um approach right
that they they don’t like being
surprised in the morning um meanwhile
the qqq offers that 0.5 but it maybe has
the highest projection of about 90
percent right
same can be said for the futures and all
that
take note take no
good names
okay
so what have we done so far today
we recapped a couple of the positions we
were focusing on
months ago we explained the sentiment
you guys got to see firsthand where we
were at the top
predicted where was going started
entering the shorts we showed you how
those went over the past six months we
showed you the price points we were
aiming at and how pixel perfect like gps
we projected the 10 it went to the 10 we
sold at the 30 it sold off at the 30.
um
and here we are at the bottom we sh we
explained to you how in may we were
planning for this keep in mind guys our
decisions to buy these major market
indexes when they hit their weekly 180
it didn’t just happen overnight
we had this
our decisions to buy those was made a
year ago
a year ago we were already planning okay
this stuff’s going to go down we’re
going to grab it at the low at that
weekly 180 you buy in there and then it
goes
to the moon right
[Music]
the same way
the long-term thing
